Unfortunately, it now looks like I'm going to need to continue teaching online until Christmas. The advice from my professional body, the ISM, following the Prime Minister's announcement on 31st October, is that face-to-face teaching cannot take place under the new restrictions.
New pupils - Please do get in touch if you're interested in lessons. Whilst the challenges of teaching online mean that I can't teach any young beginners, it might be possible for me to take on adults, or non-beginners, depending on circumstances.
With so many unknowns at the moment, I've decided to continue teaching online only for the time being. I hope to review this before the October half-term. But the current uncertainties also mean that I've had to make the sad decision not to take on any new pupils this term.

It now looks like I shall have to continue teaching online at least until the end of the summer term. I plan to offer lessons to current pupils over the summer holidays, but it's unclear yet whether those will be online or face-to-face.
It's also looking increasingly unlikely that the annual summer school, in what would have been its 25th year, will be able to run this year.
(At present there's no information available on when the ABRSM will be able to offer theory exams.)
But the current uncertainties also mean that I've had to make the sad decision not to take on any new pupils this term - but I hope to be able to do so in September.
16th April 2020 - online teaching begins Monday 20th April
I am overwhelmed by the loyalty of my clients, many of whom have signed up for online or curated learning. Thank you also to those who've assured me that they'll be back, as soon as they are safely able to return in person.
Since we went into lockdown, two weeks before the end of the spring term, I've been hard at work retraining, and turning my study into a teaching studio. I look forward to seeing you soon!
At present, I'm hoping that the annual music theory summer school can go ahead in its traditional format; however, I am exploring how to deliver the course online if necessary.

Following the government briefings at the weekend, I'd made the decision to immediately suspend face-to-face teaching for the foreseeable future.
I shall still be teaching, but via webcam! I'll be in touch with all pupils, or their parents, over Easter to discuss arrangements. Thank you for your patience whilst I'm setting this up.
